About Us

Whitinsville Social Library is the public library for the town of Northbridge, Massachusetts. The library is named for the Whitinsville section of Northbridge where it is located. Whitinsville Social Library serves the residents of the town of Northbridge and its villages. The library belongs to CWMARS a large public and academic library network consisting of libraries in central and western Massachusetts. To learn more about the history of the library go here.

Governance

From its inception, the library has been governed by a corporation, the Whitinsville Social Library Corporation, whose members vote for the Board of Trustees. Membership in the WSL Corporation is open to those who are interested in the welfare of the library. Please speak to the Library Director if you are interested in joining the Corporation. The WSL Corporation gratefully accepts monetary gifts which are used in order to continue their support of the library. More information can be found here.
