If you feel that your property has been overvalued, disproportionately assessed, incorrectly classified, you may apply to the Assessors for an abatement.
Abatements are filed once per fiscal year when the actual bills are mailed and need to be received in the Assessors office no later than the due date (Feb 1, 2022) or post marked by close of the business day of the due date (Feb 1, 2022).
The Assessors cannot act on any abatement applications received after the deadline. Forms are available in the Assessors office or Click Here to print the form. The full tax due must be paid on time to avoid interest charges.
