Nbridge EDC -Mission Statement

The Nbridge EDC is an advisory Committee of the Board of Selectmen (& Planning Board). The EDC shall provide a forum for exchanging ideas & information to help deliver the business & economic needs of Northbridge by actively pursuing input from the business community, residents & other stakeholders.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Northbridge Economic Development Committee (Nbridge EDC) works to promote, support, encourage, and facilitate the development of existing and future commercial and industrial growth within the community. The work of the Committee shall be concentrated into three areas:
- Attracting business development that will expand and strengthen our local economy, diversify the community’s tax base, and generate more local employment opportunities through the marketing and representation of Northbridge for economic development and strategic partnerships, describing the processes and providing guidance for relocation, and making recommendations to the Board of Selectmen regarding Tax Increment Financing (TIF) applications and other incentives;
- Enhancing the capability of existing businesses to succeed by improving communication and collaboration between owners, the community, and town leaders, to create a mutually supportive diversity of local businesses, to give the Town's residents more opportunities to work locally in Northbridge, and to promote utilization of existing infrastructure and facilities to their fullest possible extent; and
- Providing direction for the town, including identification of trends and opportunities, and assistance in long-term planning that recognizes neighborhood and community issues, concerns, character, and the unique offerings of Northbridge in areas of Agriculture, Natural Attractions, Parks, and Historic areas.
