Help Borrowing eBooks

Downloading ebooks to your Kindle

Required: A C/W MARS library card, and free Amazon account, and wi-fi access.

To sign up for Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/. Click on “Sign in” at top right and follow prompts. 

1. Connect your Kindle to wi-fi network.

2. Go to C/W MARS Digital Library: http://digitalcatalog.cwmars.org/

Or you can find the link on WSL’s website or at the bottom of regular Library Catalog website.

3. Click on “Sign in” at the top right to sign in with your C/W MARS library card.

4. Check out a book in Kindle format from C/W MARS Digital Library.

5. During the check out process, you will be transferred to Amazon and prompted to sign into your Amazon account.

6. Book is checked out for 2 weeks and will be removed automatically.

Downloading ebooks to your Nook

Required: A C/W MARS library card & free Adobe Digital Editions program installed on your computer.

To download Adobe Digital Editions: http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html

1. Go to C/W MARS Digital Library: http://digitalcatalog.cwmars.org/

Or find the link on WSL’s website or at the bottom of regular Library Catalog website.

2. Click on “Sign in” at the top right to sign in with your C/W MARS library card.

3. Open Digital Editions. Both C/W MARS Digital Library & Digital Editions must be open on your computer.

4. Connect Nook to your computer. Nook icon will appear on the left in Digital Editions.

5. Check out a book in e-pub format from C/W MARS Digital Library.

6. E-pub icon will appear in Digital Editions. Click on book icon and drag it to the Nook icon.

7. Book is checked out for 2 weeks and will be removed automatically.
