Starting May 29 Masks Are No Longer Required For Vaccinated People

Library update

In accordance with Governor Baker’s order starting Saturday May 29 at 10 AM masks will not be required for library visitors who are fully vaccinated. If you’re not fully vaccinated, you must wear a mask when you visit the library. Children aged 6 to 11 years old must wear a mask because they cannot yet receive the vaccine. To protect those who cannot be vaccinated, mask wearing is encouraged for all visitors, especially in the Children’s Room.

We are still offering Parking Lot Pick Up for all patrons during library hours. Returns are no longer quarantined. Visits less than 30 minutes are encouraged. Gradually we will be adding back more tables and chairs, public computers, and access to the ground floor. All library events this summer will either take place outside or virtually. Our summer reading program for all ages will begin on Monday June 21. Stay tuned in June for more info on “Tails & Tales”! We will have copies of the Northbridge schools' summer reading books soon.

We are not accepting book donations. We are not looking for new volunteers at this time. If you would like to help fundraise for the library please join the Friends of Whitinsville Social Library. The library is closed on Monday May 31 for Memorial Day.

A HUGE thank you to our library staff who adjusted time and time again over the last 14 months and never lost a single step when it came to providing library resources to the community. None of this was easy, but the staff stepped up to the challenge every day.
