CDBG Federal CARES Act Program Grant -Attention Northbridge Businesses, funding may be available through the Massachusetts CDBG special funding round of the CARES Act of 2020 as part of a Regional Microenterprise Assistance Grant Program.
The Town of Northbridge has partnered with the towns of Webster (lead community); Clinton; Douglas; Dudley; Lancaster; and Sterling in a regional application to secure funding for businesses defined as micro-enterprises (those with 5 or fewer employees, including the owners) and funding to support public social service actives designed to assist persons who have been impacted by the COVID-19 virus.
The maximum grant to a single business is $25,000 with demonstrated cost greater than or equal to the amount requested. Grant funds may be used for working capital to cover costs such as, rent, staffing, utilities, insurance costs and cost of goods. Funds may also be used to purchasing personal protection equipment. Grant funds MAY NOT be used for major equipment purchases, purchase of real property, construction activities, business expansion, or lobbying.
