The Community Standards Review Board has been established by the Board of Selectmen and the Cable Advisory Committee as a venue for reviewing Northbridge's local-access cable TV productions, those which purportedly contain so-called "adult content". With the protection of the community's children in mind, the mission of the three-member Board is to work with these producers to ensure that their programs do not contain obscene materials, as defined by the "Northbridge Local Cable Access TV Channels 11, 12, 13 Policy Manual" (see link below). We look forward to hearing from Northbridge residents with any comments or concerns about this matter. abs
We are seeking a third member, who must be a current or former NCTV producer. The producer is uniquely qualified to understand the issues of creating and producing a television program for local-access television. This is an opportunity for one producer to become involved, not only in this effort to protect our children, but also the creative process of our local-access television producers, as well as for the enrichment of him- or herself, and the community of Northbridge. We invite you to apply for this appointment to add the voice of a producer to the Board, and make a difference in this important issue.
If you wish to be considered for appointment to the Community Standards Review Board, please fill out a Talent Bank Form at the Town Hall, 7 Main Street, Whitinsville, or access the form online click here. Submit it to the Town Manager's office, then you will be notified of the CSRB meeting date during which your application will be reviewed so that you can attend. abs
