What is the process to display a banner across Church Street?

Only Non-Profit Organizations may request to hang a banner across Church Street [in the vicinity of the Armenian Church] in order to advertise/announce a community event.  The request must be put in writing and sent to the Town Manager's Office at 7 Main Street, Whitinsville, MA 01588.  You may also email any of the Town Manager's staff listed on the Town Manager's page of this website.  Requests, which require approval of the Board of Selectmen, are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.  The request should state the name of the organization, type of event, date/time/location of the event and the phone number of the person making the request.  Banners are allowed to be hung for a maximum of two-weeks from Sunday to Sunday.  Once approved by the Board, you will be notified and the request will then be forwarded to the Fire Department so they will know to expect delivery of your banner.  When your banner is ready, please deliver it to the Fire Department at 193 Main Street, Whitinsville.
