What Do I Do With All These Leaves???
-A A +A

As summer fades away, we can look forward to cooler temperatures, beautiful colors, and our favorite part of the fall - LEAF PICK UP!  In our ongoing effort to provide the highest level of service to the residents of the Town of Northbridge, we would like to ask your help in our annual leaf collection operations.

Starting on Monday - October 21, 2013 and continuing either as long as possible before the snow flies or until we are done - our crews will be traveling throughout the Town, picking-up bags of leaves left at the curb.  There are some requests we have in order that we may better serve you.

  1. Please use only approved leaf paper collection bags.  These bags are available many locations throughout the town.  Leaves in other than approved paper bags will be left at the curb.

  1. Please don’t put anything inside these bags except leaves.  Brush, sticks, and other types of bio-degradable matter can be brought directly to the Town’s composting and brush collection facility, located at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, 644 Providence Road.  You may call either the Department of Public Works at (508) 234-3581, (508) 234-0816 or (508) 234-9563, or the Board of Health at (508) 234-3272.

  1. Once the leaves are collected and bagged, please call the Department of Public Works at either of the telephone numbers listed above to let us know that they are ready for pick-up.  If you reach our answering machine, please leave a message with your name, address and telephone number.  Messages are retrieved twice a day, and we will return your message.  We request that you place the bags of leaves at the curbside for pick-up.  We do our best to pick-up the bagged leaves in a timely manner, so please do not remove the bags after you call us.
