Trash Disposal

Residents of Northbridge are required to subscribe for trash pick up services with a licensed hauler. There are no town facilities (landfill/transfer station) for the use of residents. Each licensed trash hauler is required to offer curbside pick up of recyclables (paper, plastics, glass)—please speak with your hauler about the services they provide.

 

Blackstone Valley Regional Recycling Center—Northbridge Division—NOW OPEN!

Whitinsville Fire Station (Rear of Building—access from Water Street)

Dates of Operation:

The Recycling Center will be open EVERY Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (CLOSED during the months of January and February)

The following items are accepted at the Recycling Center

at no cost:

Fee schedule for disposal of the following items:

**PAINTS: (Exterior, latex, oil-based): KEEP IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER— label must be readable. Surplus thinners and turpentine, surplus shellacs and varnishes are accepted.

 

LATEX PAINT ONLY: If can is half full or less—DO NOT BRING TO RECYCLING CENTER—dry paint out by removing lid and/or mixing saw dust or kitty litter—when completely dry, throw paint can in trash (leave cover off of can)

 

LATEX PAINT HARDENER: Paint hardener is available in the Board of Health office located at Town Hall for just $2.00—the hardener will harden a full gallon of latex paint within 48 hours.
